Tornadoes #2

As I was composing yesterday, I was listening to the television. They were reporting the beginnings of another tornado outbreak. I have connections with people near the large area of devastation. Thankfully as far as I know they are all fine. Many others were less fortunate. With today's technology, we are able to witness the devastation as it is happening. There were many lives lost, some of them grade school children. Until I get to Heaven I will probably never understand some of the bad things that happen to children this young. I know that we are all born with a sin nature. I've seen firsthand that babies don't have to be taught how to be selfish or to lie, but it bothers me that some don't get to experience much of life on earth. I know that Heaven is a much better place than earth, but it makes my heart ache for those kids and their family. Here are some shots from Monday.
Much Love, Dennis

  1. Dennis, my heart goes out to all of those whose lives have been touched by the tornados. My brother and his wife lived in Moore several years ago when their son was a baby. They live in Dallas and have for many years. Joe was in Witcha Falls when that devistating tornado struck there. My daddy was born Okmulgee and died in Lone Grove, we were station at Ft. Sill three times. I feel very close to the "Okies" with great fondness.

I will keep you and all others in Oklahoma in my prayers.

I love your jokes, some of the funniest events in my life happened during very trying times. Maybe they became so memorable because we had so little to laugh about and laughter is a wonderful medicine.

    Love and Prayers.

    1. Thanks for the reply TJ. As I continue my walk through life with Jesus by my side I have found that I have sympathy and compassion for all people going through trials and tribulations. I am holding on to the promise that by Jesus' stripes I am healed. When that happens I will be getting my hands dirty dispensing to those who are in need.
